The commemorative project ‘ remember and commemorate’, was founded with the advice and blessing of Israel’s Sephardi Chief Rabbi Rishon LeZion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shalita, after the terrible massacre that took place on the day of Simchat Torah 5784 and the subsequent Iron Swords War, October 7, 2023.

The organization aims to:

  • Promote initiatives and activities for the commemoration of the murdered of over 1400 murdered who fell HID. To give a Yad Vashem to the hundreds of the holly murdered and butchered who were slaughtered and to the dozens of families that they were interrupted.
  • Restore the Israeli spirit and national resilience, To try and promote together initiatives in that will be a comfort to the families of the murdered.
  • Bring correction to polarization and distancing. and bring the hearts together in a spirit of unity, out of love and peace for all shades of Israeli society, Jews, secular and ultra-Orthodox, Right-wings and left-wings in Israel and the world.

The organization is chaired by Rabbi Binyamin Naki and accompanied by the Office of ‘משאבים’  and legally appears in the Register of Non-profit Organizations.

The organization has been accompanied since its inception by the Israel’s Sephardi Chief Rabbi Rishon LeZion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shalita (see recommendation)

Every murdered person


has a synagogue!

Directed by the Israel’s Sephardi Chief Rabbi Rishon LeZion Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shalita. which accompanies the organization from its foundation issued a holy invocation For every synagogue to adopt, one was murdered from the war.

  • The gabbai or someone on his behalf will be responsible for saying Kaddish as well as conducting the layover for the ascension of his soul every Shabbat until the end of the year and then on the day of the year.
  • To place a memorial sign in the synagogue in his memory and lift his spirit, for example, it will be written: The holy activities in the ‘Ulam David’ synagogue will be for the upliftment of the soul of so-and-so son of so-and-so, who was dedicated to the sanctification of God with God’s help. Simchat Torah events and the Iron Swords War in 2023.

 

  • Every synagogue will receive a kit that includes:
  1. Memorial plaque measuring 30 cm x 40 cm.
  2. A set of Chumash, Siddurim, Tehillim’s, and Mishnah with a personalization.
  3. A branded parochet for the synagogue with the name of the murdered.
